A new release of the delayed mode GlobWave data is now available on the ftp site spanning 8 satellites and 11 data streams from both ESA and non-ESA sources. The major new addition in this release is the inclusion of the error statistics variables and calibrated parameter values based on comparisons with the in situ data. For the Altimeter data the main parameter is the Significant Wave Height and for SAR it is the Swell Wave height, Wave Direction and Dominant Wavelength. The inclusion of the error statistics provides clear confidence level information to users which will help improve the use and uptake of satellite wave data.
