The second GlobWave User Meeting took place in Cork on the 5th & 6th October. It was a well attended event with feedback elicited from the user community by a number of means, including by presentation, panel discussion and a dropbox. We are currently engaged in digesting all user feedback, with the aim of focussing GlobWave yet further to the needs of the user community.The GlobWave ingestion system has been expanded to read model input data from Fleet Numerical and NOAA. The GlobWave DSS system has been initiated and was demonstrated at the User Meeting. Both systems are still being tested, which is expected to be complete at the end of November.Many news items have been published on the portal include an online lesson accessing GlobWave data, the creation of Wikipedia and LinkedIn Group pages, and a report on the scripting access to GlobWave data.
