June 2011

This is the project summary covering progress in June 2011.

Following announcement of the GlobWave User Meeting in Cork on 5-6 October, arrangements continue to be made on organisation of the meeting. The Call for Abstracts and participation registration are currently open.

Progress continues on development of the online tool, as reported through a progress meeting on 24th June where the tool was demonstrated. The online tool is on track to be ready in July 2011.

Further RIDS have been fixed for the PM4 deliverables, and these will be submitted to ESA during July.

The power failure and subsequent database loss issues faced by NOC following a thunderstorm have been resolved. The database has been rebuilt, work has commenced on changing the implementation of the backup process, and recovery of the previously ingested data to the database has been completed.

Data collection from the Met Office, Previmer (new SHOM stream) and ECMWF are successful. Met Office and Premiver reports are being generated daily.

Work has commenced on construction of the SAR handbook.
