A teleconference took place on 11th February 2011 to formally launch Phase 2, but significant progress has already been made on many of the Phase 2 deliverables.

We have completed a first draft of the Global Wave Statistics (GWS) report, containing all SAR and altimetry content as required. The report is now under internal review.

Ifremer testing of the online tools for querying the satellite vs in situ database had earlier shown that further effort is required towards functionality and reliability. This effort is ongoing, with the original technical resource having been attained by Ifremer.

We are pleased to announce that PS-WFVS reports are now being automatically generated on a daily basis. NOC completed work on alterations to their code to account for changes in the SAR processors over the last few months.

Excellent progress has been made arranging the next User Consultation Meeting, and we look forward to making an announcement next month.
