The NCEP Global Observation Assimilation System (GODAS) was developed at NCEP and enables the analysis of the ocean climate variability.
GODAS uses continuous real-time data from the GOOS and assimilation is performed using temperature and salinity profiles as well as sea surface height data from appropriate Altimeter and in situ observations.
