ESA GlobWave project
The ESA GlobWave project is a three year initiative funded by the European Space Agency (and subsidised by CNES) to service the needs of satellite wave product users across the globe. Led by Logica UK, with support from CLS, Ifremer, SatOC and NOC, the project offers a one stop for satellite data on ocean waves.
The project has now completed it initial 3 year project and a Final Report document summarising the advances and success of the project is available here. Please note that the GlobWave project is still ongoing under the extension project.
The third GlobWave User Meeting took place on the 7-8th November 2012 at the European Maritime Safety Agency in Lisbon, Portugal. Free access to wave products in a common format spanning 11 data streams and 8 satellites is available in both delayed mode and near real time. A Summary of Services section can be found here, and details about the data, including accessibility instructions, can be found here.
